Super Smash Bros Ported to TI-83 Graphing Calculator

We have seen Mario clones, puzzle games and more on this graphing calculator, and of course math related stuff. Now, we can add an unofficial Super Smash Bros game to the long list of applications you can use on your TI-83, or TI-84, that are not specifically calculator/graphing related. Who knew this educational device could be used to play some pretty interesting games?

The person responsible for this port is known as “Hayleia” on the Omnimaga Forums and is not a newb to these types of ports. According to Retro Game Network, Hayleia is responsible for the 2011 demake of a Pokemon title. This port is not the full blown game, right now it only contains Falco and Fox but development continues. This port is open source so anyone can download it, modify it and improve it as they see fit.Texas-Instruments-TI-83-calculator-super-smash-bros-nintendo-3So far, there is scaling, basic battle mechanics and platforms present in this port. This is quite amazing considering the limited hardware that this game is running on. The release of this port is timed quite well considering the release of Super Smash Bros Wii U is looming on the gaming world.
