Yash Terakura is a Japanese engineer who was production manager for the Japanese portion of the Commodore Business Machines (CBM) who designed the successful home computer VIC-20, Commodore 64 and the less successful Commodore MAX .
Tera Kura started his career in 1973 with digital calculators for Commodore Japan. In 1978 he became technical director for Commodore Business Machines Japan. He developed the first Commodore PET Computer with colour graphics before he was transferred to the United States as Director of Development for constructing new product lines for personal computers with colour graphics. From 1985 to 1988 he was a consultant for several companies, followed by the CEO of HAL America (a subsidiary of HAL Laboratories) from 1988 to 1994 and then re-consultant. 2007, he became technical director of Throwback Entertainment in Toronto.
