Toot! Toot! Calling all budding train drivers, Black Castle Software has released a new puzzle game for the Commodore 64 set in a railway environment called Trolley Follies.
The premise behind Trolley Follies is that you are a new conductor for the Trolley division of Convoluted Rail Road (CRR) Incorporated and your job is to operate one of their trolleys to pick up awaiting passengers and deliver them to their desired destinations. Once you meet your financial goal for the level, you move on to the next neighbourhood.
Each new level offers increasingly confusing and convoluted track layouts as you try to avoid damaged track segments to pick up and drop off your passengers to their desired stop before they get too impatient as you can only collect fares from happy customers. Are you up to the challenge of working in this fast-paced environment?
Trolley Follies also features a two player mode and once you have become an expert with the standard game you can build your own levels with the included Level Editor, which you can share with others online.
Our initial run through with Trolley Follies found it to be a well crafted little game that is quite enjoyable to play. It will definitely be a game that we will be going back to over the upcoming week before we endeavor to design our own game levels.
