CiderPress II version 1.2 Released

CiderPress II, the command line version of the popular Apple II and retro Macintosh disk image utility by Andy McFadden has been updated. Version 1.2 of CiderPress II includes a bevy of updates and changes including the following items::

  • Fixed handling of mildly malformed ProDOS volumes (#70).
  • Added support for MOOF disk images (#71).
  • Added BinSCII decoder to command-line tool.
  • Added handling of source-text-only comment delimiters to Applesoft import.
  • Fixed handling of lower-case variables in Applesoft import (#69).
  • Added support for NRLE-compressed “.3201” images.
  • Fixed minor command-line handling and display issues (#60).

CiderPress offers a wide range of tools for working with files stored in disk images and file archives. You can list, add, extract, import, export, copy, rename, move, delete, test, print, and modify file attributes. It also allows you to create new disk images in multiple formats and sizes, retrieve and edit metadata, copy or edit individual blocks or sectors, view raw track data, and even copy or replace entire disk partitions.
