Jani was making backups of old turbo-tapes to disk and noticed that the quality was very poor on some tapes. He needed a method to adjust the head alignment and see if the signal was better. He built an analogue VU-Meter inside a Datassette. On Jani’s blog you can see the new system.

Release 5 fixes multiple bugs, and brings the game closer to the original. There are now five dwarves, as in the original, and you can’t just teleport out of tight spots. Of course, the game still rocks on 8-bit hardware.
