THE JOB
You fly the mail plane for a small regional air-mail company.
Mail waits at every airfield. Land, roll to a stop on the runway
and the ground crew swaps mail bags and fills your tanks. Each
bag must go to a nearby airfield, shown blinking on the map.
You can carry four bags. There are eight airfields: HARLOW FIELD,
BENTON, CROSS LAKE, DUNMORE, ELK RIDGE, FALLS CITY, GREYHAVEN
and HOLT SPRINGS.
Mountains rise between the fields. Near a mountain the wind
becomes gusty and violent: expect rising air on the windward
side, sinking air in the lee, and a kicking stick all round.
Elk Ridge sits in a valley among the peaks.
