Galaga announced as the next Quarter Arcade cabinet with two more to come in 2019

Following last year’s launch of the 1/4 scale replica of the original PAC-MAN arcade cabinet, Numskull Designs has announced that it will once again team up with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment to release Galaga as the second installment in its Quarter Arcade range.

Generally considered as one of the world’s most innovative arcade shooters from the early 1980s, the official fully playable 1/4 scale replica of Galaga stays true to the original arcade cabinet, with everything from its artwork, buttons and joystick to its wire mesh air vents and screws exact replicas of the arcade unit.

This miniature version of the Galaga arcade cabinet is fully playable and set to play the original arcade ROM on a bespoke emulator. Further, the unit is  said to be portable with its rechargeable internal battery letting you take it on the go, or display at home in attract mode.

The Galaga Quarter Arcade cabinet is set for release in September 2019 with pre-orders being taken from Numskull’s website.

Numskull Designs has also confirmed that the previously announced cabinets of Ms. PAC-MAN and Galaxian will be available in November 2019 while also revealing that Track & Field, Dig Dug and Space Invaders will follow in 2020.
