
The latest version of Card Cat, version 1.8, is now available for download. Card Cat is a system identification program created by Henry Lowe that identifies your Apple II series hardware information, memory and the cards in the slots.
The latest release of Card Cat contains a number of new options and fixes including:
- Add additional cards. There are now 102 cards in the database.
- Detects Garret’s Workshop RAM2E Card revisions in Auxiliary slot on Apple IIe.
- Detects Garret’s Workshop RAM128 RAM cards.
- Detects Garret’s Workshop GR8RAM card.
- Detects Garret’s Workshop TimeDisk card.
- Displays RAM size on Apple Memory Expansion cards.
- Redesigned database to support additional cards
- Removed signatures bytes from slot list to free up space on 40-column display.
- Card firmware listing may not be fully visible on a 40-column display. CTRL-A will toggle the display between the first and second 40 character screen.
- Scan function removed as feedback suggests it was not useful.
- Fixed a memory leak.
