The WOZPAK II: 2nd Edition

Seattle, Washington – March 26, 2025 – Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange (A.P.P.L.E.) has published a new 2nd Edition of The WOZPAK II, intended for collectors who want to own this early work. It is a reprint with an additional introduction by A.P.P.L.E. founder Val J. Golding, and a new back cover. It contains over 130 pages of Apple documentation with many examples and explanations. A disk image with the Apple II programs is available.

First published in 1979, The WOZPAK II was an expanded and typeset version of the original 1978 WOZPAK. The WOZPAK was the first official technical resource for the Apple II computer, with original material provided directly by Steve Wozniak and Apple Computer president Mike Scott to the A.P.P.L.E. User Group. The WOZPAK: Special Edition continues be available as the most expanded and complete version at over 390 pages.

Bill Martens — Apple historian and enthusiast, programmer, President of Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange (A.P.P.L.E.) and co-producer of Call-A.P.P.L.E. magazine, and books like: Cyber Jack, Synergistic Software: The Early Games, Nibble Viewpoints, The WOZPAK Special Edition, and What’s Where in the Apple: Enhanced Edition. Bill also co-produced and co-programmed the retro iOS game Structris. Bill is the author of ApPilot/W1, Beyond Quest, The Anatomy of an EAMON, and multiple EAMon adventure games. He is a systems engineer specializing in office infrastructures and has been programming since 1976. And he is the production editor for the A.P.P.L.E. website CallAPPLE.org, writes science fiction novels in his spare time, and is a retired semi-pro football player.

Apple Pugetsound Program Library Exchange (A.P.P.L.E.) has been a global Apple user group since 1978, with membership peaking near 50,000 in 1985.
