Race ‘N Smash is a small but fun vertical scrolling racing game, which was developed as part of the “Fun and Games Programming in Assembly” tutorial, run by Lemon 64. This was the start of introducing the C64 community on programming games using a native Commodore 64 assembler (Turbo Assembler).
Race ‘N Smash features the following content:
- Fully presentable front end
- A smooth vertical scrolling road
- Two different upbeat driving sound tracks
- Eight levels of increased difficulty
- Hi score detection
- Plenty of car dodging action
- Compatible with a PAL Commodore 64, theC64, Ultimate 64, and RGL’s theC64. Due to the way the raster code has been handled, this game is not compatible with NTSC systems.
