Full Spectrum Defence -ZX Spectrum-

by Sausageware Games

Full Spectrum Defence is a strategy game in the tower defense genre, created by Sausageware Games and published by Bitmap Soft for the ZX Spectrum 128K. The objective centers on protecting the core of a computer from various digital threats, including bugs, bots, viruses, and gremlins that seek to corrupt the Z80 CPU.

The game features 40 levels across four difficulty modes. Players must allocate resources to deploy six types of defensive towers and a bomb attack to eliminate increasingly diverse enemy waves. Enemy types include armored foes, flying enemies, those that heal others, ones that attack defenses, and large bosses. The gameplay requires efficient resource management to adapt to escalating threats in each level.

The setting and theme draw on the concept of computer security, expressed through abstract representations of digital entities and components. Music is composed by Joe Olney. Limited physical release is available on cassette.
