A ZX Spectrum reactor management simulation by Habb
You are placed in front of a simplified reactor control panel. Your task is to keep the reactor stable, generate steam, maintain power output and survive long enough to meet the required production target.
But the reactor is never truly still.
RBMK-1000 Simulator is a reactor control simulation for the ZX Spectrum, inspired by the complexity, tension and fragility of operating a large graphite-moderated nuclear reactor.
Control rods, reactivity, power, temperature, cooling and steam production all interact with each other. Push the reactor too hard and the situation can quickly become unstable. Cool it too aggressively and you may lose output. React too slowly and the plant may drift into dangerous territory.
The challenge is not only knowing what to do – it is knowing when to act.
