From Noncho Savov on facebook:
“Hi, I want to share with you my new game: Apple GridLock. It is the classic sliding block traffic jam puzzle, designed for the Apple //e with CRT compatible graphics and mouse support. Comes with 100 levels packed on a disk and with an endless supply available online. You can easily download level packs from my server if you have an Uthernet II card. The game is playable straight in the browser via Apple//Web – a custom emulator I’ve been building on top of Will Scullin’s apple2js. It can switch WebGL/Canvas rendering on the fly. The mouse control is pretty smooth, it feels like the Apple IIe was built with that in mind from the start (some good effort was put on the game side to achieve this). The demo is designed for preview on the web (and mobile) – I’m planning to add some more features, including FujiNet support, keyboard controls, music, and sound before the full release.
Play the game here: https://www.foumartgames.com/games/AppleGridLock/
Grab the DSK image and try it on a real hardware. Can’t wait to hear some feedback! I’m especially interested if the game works on your real machines and (if you are eager to share) what features do you miss the most so I can weight on them in my TODO list. Still very much a demo with rough edges, so go easy – I know the game isn’t flicker free (working on that – vaporlock not yet implemented) and also I’ve not done any level selection – that’s pretty much one of the first level packs generated. I’d love to know how it runs for you and what you think. Cheers!”
