On this last weekend, I was at VCF East for the first time and the whole experience was a blast. I plan to talk more about on a specific article but while that doesn’t happen, I am happy to say that one of the main presentations of the show is already online: Joe Decuir’s keynote.
Joe Decuir is a key part of the early Atari history, being one of the responsible to design and bring the Atari 2600 and the Atari 400/800 to the market.
The presentation covers a lot, bringing light to events during the design of the 2600 and also the 400/800, including business-related stories and very technical information about the way both the video-game console and the computers work.
Joe Decuir is also a very good speaker which makes this video mandatory to any person that calls oneself a vintage computer enthusiast. I am also very pleased to see that the VCF East organizers were very diligent filming the presentations and also making sure the audio was perfect.
