Old Amiga graphic works by Andy Warhol

In 1985 the Pop Art legend Andy Warhol was engaged by Commodore to create a picture of the singer Debbie Harry live on stage with the Amiga (YouTube video). A while back a computer enthusiast and fan of the artist thought that Warhol might have used the Amiga before or after this presentation as well.

Due to his request at the Andy Warhol Museum, which has the Warhol Amigas, the disks were searched for further artworks of the artist and so far in total 28 unknown computer graphic works were found. Apparently the pictures are digital versions of well-known Warhol artworks which were reworked or alienated.

Some pictures have been already published on the Internet. The whole process was recorded and the documentation “Trapped” will be available at nowseethis.org after May 12th.
