Amiga gamers who have been following the progress of the new title from Eleventh Hour Games might be excited to learn that a new gameplay teaser video has been uploaded to YouTube by the project’s principle artist, Wayne Ashworth. The clip demonstrates the general pace, core mechanics and some of the features that you can expect to find in the finished game.
Developed by Magnus Tegstrom and Wayne Ashworth, Scourge of the Underkind is shaping up to be an impressive tribute to such classics as Gauntlet and The Chaos Engine. The target machine configuration will be the classic A500 (OCS) with 1MB of memory and will provide fluid scrolling and engaging gameplay set within a beautifully realised medieval fantasy setting. Having been in development since 2015, the team concedes that there’s still a lot of work to be done on the game, but with plenty of monsters to kill and loot to be collected, this is definitely a title that should be on any self-respecting Amiga fan’s radar!
If that weren’t news enough, the team recently partnered with the folks over at A1200.net to release a special edition of the game. The package will include a replacement case moulding for the Amiga 500 computer in an attractive gun-metal grey finish, a big-box physical release of the finished game, plus bonus features and collectable items that feature some extremely impressive artwork from the game itself. At £175 (US$245) the package isn’t cheap, but is sure to be popular with fans of the Amiga and discerning collectors everywhere.
More information regarding the project can be found on Wayne Ashworth’s web site, or on the team’s official Facebook group.

i think all amiga 500should be freeware
The best reward to an Amiga coder it´s knowing that everybody can play the games instead of just a few that payed to own a game
My comment is a direct reply to ‘dave’.
Scourge of the Underkind will be free to download for anyone wishing to play our game. There will be boxed versions for collectors. The A1200.net version of the game is an exclusive version for them and will not be for sale as an individual game outside of their A500 case set.
People WILL be able to play this game for free, just not the exclusive version of the game, and no, it won’t be ‘inferior’ in any way to the original, it will contain ‘exclusive’ content.
Thanks for your answer!
