While doing my daily scroll through one of my favourite ZX Spectrum websites, I happen to come across Mortal Kombat. Yes you heard correct, Mortal Kombat on the ZX Spectrum. While not quite a full game as such, a small demo version is still pretty damn impressive considering the Speccy limitations. Release 5 fixes multiple bugs, and brings the game closer to the original. There are now five dwarves, as in the original, and you can’t just teleport out of tight spots. Of course, the game still rocks on 8-bit hardware.
