Telnet65: Remote telnet connection for Atari computers

Telnet65 is a program that allows an Atari 8-bit computer (XL/XE) to access another machine connected to the Internet. This is shown by the video published by Viktor “w1k” Čech (Slovakia) where the client emulates a VT100 terminal using telnet protocol. On the video  “w1k” is using Telnet65 v1.2 to connect to an IRC server.

The program was developed by Oliver Schmidt targeting initially the Commodore 64 and Apple II. The network layer is based on IP65, a TCP/IP stack for 6502-based computers and the terminal portion was based on CaTer, a machine language program also created for the C64.

As explained by Schmidt on his Github repository, the Atari version is compatible with the ethernet interface Dragon Cart and requires a computer with at least 32Kb of RAM.
