Clive Townsend will be releasing the third instalment of Saboteur this year.
As I am sure you’re aware, Saboteur is an absolute classic etched in our minds from childhood. The game was released on various platforms, but the most loved version was on the ZX Spectrum. For those of you that are somehow not familiar with this game, you take the role of a Ninja who has been given the task of stealthing around an old warehouse searching for a floppy disk which contains rebel leaders names and important information.
Your mission is to find the disk, whilst avoiding dogs, guards and security systems. You can fight the enemy with your shuriken, should you so choose, however you only start with one, so use it wisely. There are also other improvised weapons to be found while sneaking around the dark underground tunnels, such as bricks and pieces of pipe found in rubbish piles and boxes. Once you have eventually found the disk, you need to find the helicopter and escape.
That is the short version, of course there is much more to Saboteur and a quick google will present you with an abundance of fantastic reviews of the game. As I mentioned earlier Clive’s latest offering is the third game in the series, and to be honest, I can’t say I ever played the second game, also I’m sure it is more than likely a great follow up to a true classic.
