Octopus is a Game & Watch game released as part of the Wide Screen series on July 16, 1981. In this game, the player must get as much gold as they can. However, they must watch out for the Octopus near the treasure because if they touch its arms, they lose a life. Losing all three lives results in a Game Over.
Good News today for Amstrad fans! Here’s a few words from Team Galaxy.
In July 2023, we offered you an Amstrad GX4000 version of Octopus. Our goal was then to make the conversion of the famous Nintendo Game & Watch as faithful as possible.
This September 13, 2023, two months later, Team Galaxy is proud to present its new baby, namely Octopus Deluxe!
Freeing itself from the original liquid crystal display, this opus dedicated to the Amstrad CPC 6128 now benefits from a colourful palette deployed on revisited and new graphics. The sometimes tricky difficulty of the original G&W has also been readjusted, and it is now possible to save your scores. On the cover side, the game also benefits from an animated introduction, different music, as well as screens punctuating the different events (Game Over, Victory, etc.).
