Atlas Obscura has published an extensive article about how the Amiga powered the Cable TV in the 90’s.

The author talks about the software Video Toaster that was behind the channel Prevue, which was the channel that would show the programming schedule and what you could watch.

“More than 40 million people had access to the Prevue Guide in 1995, and by telling you what was on the air, it played a utility role nearly as important as your remote control.”
