John Kavanagh has announced to his Kickstarter campaign backers that the issue 1 of the Eight-bit Magazine is in full production and on contrary to what he has published, it won’t have 48 pages, but 60!
John also tells that the issue 2 work has started, and he is looking for authors to help make the magazine relevant.
I am particularly invested in this project. Although we have a lot of great specialized magazines already in both print and PDF format (pro(c) Atari, Amiga Future, CommodoreFree, etc.), most of them have a strong focus on games, mostly reviews, and for its nature, target only one audience.
Eight-bit promises to cover also programming and hardware of different platforms. A real treat for multi-platform-retro-enthusiasts like myself.
The campaign was successfully funded and still has some time ahead. With the promise of a second issue, my hopes that this magazine will come to stay just went sky-rocket.
