RetroCollect website is reporting that a new game is being developed for the Commodore 64, Sam’s Journey. Featuring incredibly lush visuals and super smooth scrolling, homebrew coders Knights of Bytes have recently released a small teaser of their upcoming title which looks set to put the C64 in the spotlight.

Release 5 fixes multiple bugs, and brings the game closer to the original. There are now five dwarves, as in the original, and you can’t just teleport out of tight spots. Of course, the game still rocks on 8-bit hardware.
